Make sports the #1 priority

Sports is something that is proven to bring significant volume that isn’t for a one off event. See exchanges like Betfair, which does millions of volume on many matches daily. However the polymarket sports experience leaves much to be desired:

• For some inexplicable reason, the sports page loads every market even when selecting a specific league (for example, selecting NBA has the client render every single market for every sport which causes significant delays when navigating the website). It isn’t uncommon to be using 1-2GB of RAM on polymarket tab alone.

• Games are added very late or not at all. It is critical to automatically add games at least 1 day in advance consistently for market makers to bother investing in providing liquidity. Right now many large events are posted last minute (sometimes hours before the event), completely missing (such as many large tennis tournaments, NCAAB games), or incomplete (UFC cards get added with missing fights for some reason).

• There should be more options than just winner. At the minimum a spread and over/under would bring significant volume based on Betfair market volumes

• Many sports has every game show up as a prop match. This makes it incredibly hard to find games and navigate the site. Example: CBB

Polymarket sports has a lot of potential and should be a significant priority. If done right can be a legitimate competitor to betfair. However it is critical to make the UI seamless and consistently post games at least 1 day in advance. This is a requirement if you want market makers to even bother providing liquidity on this site.
